Three weeks ago, the government announced their roadmap. We’ve taken some time to consider our re-opening plans and are delighted to announce our Gusto roadmap. It goes without saying that these are subject to the ‘no earlier than’ dates set out by the government but we’re keeping everything crossed that these dates will stand.
pubs outside
From 12th April, pubs can open their gardens again.
We’ll be opening our outdoor areas as follows:
the beerhouse
The Beerhouse will re-open on Monday 12th April for drinks in our beer huts and in our stretch marquee (don’t forget these are heated and lit) and on the terrace. Food will be available from our friends at Pizzashed during their opening hours.
We won’t be taking bookings.
the cadogan
The Cadogan will re-open on Friday 16th April for lunch, dinner and drinks in the garden from Friday to Sunday each week. We’ve added a heated covered section to an area of our patio and we are taking lunch and dinner reservations for a small number of tables. Our online booking system is open.
book an outdoor table at the cadogan
We’re not taking bookings for drinks only but the remaining tables on the patio and in the garden will be available on a walk in basis so dress for the weather and come and see us.
Our food offering will be along similar lines to July to December last year – an evolving menu with 3 starters, 4 mains and 3 desserts. Don’t worry, there will always be a roast on Sundays!
the crown
The Crown will re-open on Friday 16th April for pizza and drinks in the garden from Friday to Sunday each week. Dress for the weather and come and see us. We will be dependent on the Great British weather as we don’t have a covered area so keep an eye on our social media channels if the weather is looking iffy as we won’t open if it’s bucketing down with rain.
We won’t be taking bookings.
vino gusto
Vino Gusto will re-open as a physical wine shop at The One Bull from Friday 16th April. We’ll be open Friday to Sunday 12 noon-6pm until 17th May. Free same day local delivery will continue Monday to Sunday during this period (IP28-IP33 on a £20 spend).
You’ll also be able to collect wine, beer and gin with your The One Bull @ Home order again or order from our Heat @ Home menu for delivery with a wine order on Fridays and Saturdays.
From 17th May, the shop will be open 7 days a week during pub hours. National delivery will continue.
UPDATE – We’ve had to tweak our re-opening plans for the wine shop but you can read our latest plan here:
read our updated vino gusto plan here
brewshed
Our brewery shop will continue to open on Fridays 4-6pm and Saturdays 12-2pm until 17th May (subject to demand).
pubs inside
From 17th May, pubs can open inside again. At this point, The One Bull and The Fox will re-open and all our pubs will be open as ‘normal’ 7 days a week. Our bedrooms at The Cadogan will also re-open at this point.
Until then, we’ll continue with The One Bull @ Home (subject to demand).
We’ll update you again when you can make inside restaurant bookings online.
the small print
Detailed guidance on re-opening is unlikely to be available from the government for another couple of weeks yet but here’s what we know so far:
1. The rules for what qualifies as ‘outside’ for pubs state that any partially enclosed space must be 50% open to the elements. All our covered areas meet this criteria.
2. You can have a drink without a meal this time round.
3. From 12th April, the rule of 6 or a maximum of 2 households applies outside.
4. From 17th May, the rule of 6 or a maximum of 2 households applies inside (and a maximum group size of 30 outside).
5. You’ll need to be seated at a table outside and inside – no propping up the bar just yet.
We’ll update our websites over the coming weeks as and when we know more and you can expect to see our covid commandments on entry to the pubs again.
We continue to work as a very tiny team prior to re-opening. To contact us before the pubs re-open, please e-mail info@gustoprontoltd.co.uk (or info@theonebull.co.uk for The One Bull @ Home orders) and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Thank you again for your continued support as we move a little closer to the end of the tunnel.
Best wishes
David & Roxane Marjoram
